Membership and Union Dues
In accordance with Local 10’s Collective Agreement, any nurse employed at HSC will have Union dues automatically deducted off your biweekly paycheque. Effective currently $35.75 biweekly is deducted for fulltime and part-time nurses, casual nurses pay $35.75 for every pay period in which they have worked. Union dues consist of two components, the Provincial portion $30.00 per pay period and the Local portion $5.75 per pay period. The Provincial portion funds the operation of our Provincial office and the Local portion funds the operation of Local 10.
You may qualify for a refund of the Provincial Portion of your MNU dues deducted by your Employer, if you are paying MNU dues at two or more facilities/employers.
